Went for an early valentines dinner. The service was impeccable. Our server Michael was very attentive and had great knowledge of the menu. We both ordered the Prime Rib. One suggestion I have is we ordered ours med. We sent them back and they were returned looking perfect. Order yours well if you don't want any blood. The wine was excellent as well. A great place for sure. Went here with my steak-loving brother to scope the scene for lunch. The interior is really nice and down-to-earth.

Feels a bit like you're leaving Boise almost. The waitress was friendly and accomodating. Food was decent and the portions reasonable for what we paid. Wouldn't mind going back to catch a game and a drink. There's nothing that stands out about this place as being absolutely amazing or riveting, but it's a solid place to grab your typical american fare.

Our favorite steak house usually! Made a reservation and were seated in the very back corner upstairs, practically on top of another table. We decided to move to the lounge The server was rude and I had to ask for menus after she walked by us numerous times.

The manager was clearing the table next to us and didn't greet us or make eye contact. To be fair this is our first awful experience, we visit every month or so. The food is always delicious but tonight we couldn't even get an order in One of the strangest steak experiences yet.

It was a recommendation for steak in Boise and frankly, once experienced, I'll pass on any future visit.

My "favor" part was the "salad bar. The steaks were nothing to write home about however, they WERE tasty. Service was some of the best I have ever had the privilege of experiencing.

Hat tip to the wait staff. Went here for Valentine's Day. Service was great, and the musicians were good but a bit loud. Had to lift our voices to hear eachother. The desert, creme brulee, was blah. The pudding tasted store bought and the sugar on top was definitely burnt.

Next time, for a special event may just go to another place. Amazing atmosphere with great food. I always opt for the barrel steak. Best part is the left overs I get to eat later. Salad bar is always great as well as the steamer clams or bacon wrapped scallops. Tonight they featured a local artist with live music in the bar area. This restaurant has been a staple in the area for years. This place has pretty good food. I got the rack of lamb. The meat was cooked perfectly and everything tasted great.

What really sucked though was the service. My waiter did not pay attention to us at all. He took 15 minutes to even ask us what we wanted to drink. He seemed like he was way to busy to be doing his job tonight. I had the bacon wrapped smoked mozzarella filet!

The meat was super tender and delicious. It was suppose to come with a port reduction sauce but it tasted more like a steak sauce. When ordering your sides i recommend that you chose the all you can eat salad bar.. I thoroughly enjoyed the parmesan vinaigrette for my salad!

Here's an homage to doing things right. Normally one doesn't give a disaster a 4 star review but there are always exceptions to the rule. Last night's dinner could have unraveled into a major fiasco, but Mike my server went above and beyond to insure that that wasn't the case.

A not so wonderful meal made wonderful by a staff and owner who did all in their power to make things right. I've eaten here many times and have always enjoyed the quality of the food and after seeing how much of an effort was put forth to insure that my wife and I left happy when only one of us was having a bad experience tells me how much they value their customers.

Scott thank you for being such a gracious host. I have had better steaks at Applebee's it tasted more like a roast and I ordered the prime rib This place is great for steaks. High quality food and drinks, but with a very casual feel. We love going on Sundays for their prime rib special. My other favorite is the Oscar Filet. Great salad bar with soup and wine and beer selection. And try the horseradish mashed potatoes for your side - so good! We've always had excellent service and always feel like the staff truly love what they are doing.

They make great recommendations and really take the time to make each person feel they are the only ones they are waiting on.

I always want to try other things on the menu, and eventually I will, but so far I've found my favorites and can't wait to go back. My only complaint is you need to put the Sandpiper Tribute salad back on the luncheon menu It is SO yummy!

The best salad in the land I'm in heaven here in Idaho. This is a definite must stop for tourists. Especially if you're from LA and have eaten at Northwoods Inn in Rosemead. The food is absolutely phenomenal and the service makes it fantastic. For a fancy steak noise this place dropped the ball. First I want to say the services was awesome, and the wine was really good with a very good selection but unfortunately when I go to a nice steakhouse I expect the steak to be amazing and it was not.

I ordered the filet mignon, medium well and it came out pretty rare and had quite a bit of fat which when I order a filet mignon, I expect none.

It was also very bland. Seem like they didn't season it at all. I was not impressed with the steak but it got 2 stars for the services and wine. A near perfect experience. Local classic steak and seafood restaurants such of this are unfortunately becoming extinct.

We had the Filet Oscar and Barrel Steak which were both robust and cooked perfectly. We had to take half of it home. Also had the bacon wrapped scallop appetizer and they too were cooked perfectly, plump, and juicy. Our server Ally did a perfect job of making sure we were taken care of without bugging us too much. Some might find this place a little pricey but not for the value of well prepared and quality meal. We will definitely return and be new regulars.

I've been coming to this place for a very long time. It never disappoints from the signature prime rib, barrel steaks to the fresh seafood. The ambiance is very old timer feeling but that's what makes it great. The menus are thick wood and about as big as your car.

Get the mud pie for dessert it's a delectable treat! Salad and soup bar very nice. Wife's filet was undercooked. It came very rare. Sent it back and it came back rare. Waitress blamed the lighting Ruined our anniversary dinner.

Gave dessert and gift card. We still think a steak house should be able to a filet mignon medium. My favorite place in Boise. I can't say enough about this place. I have hit lunch, happy hour, dinner and have picked up food here to go. It is always great. My favorite dish has to be the prime rib dinner.

It comes with a salad bar, and love the options, including the soups. I order my prime rib medium rare with a baked potato, and they always come through on the food. The mean just melts in your mouth and the baked potato with everything adds to the meal.

I have tried the horseradish mashed potatoes and au gratin potatoes, you really can't go wrong. The sourdough rolls also are amazing!

The wine selection here is also fantastic. I love grabbing a glass of Merlot from Argentina for dinner. I enjoy sitting in the bar, as there is always a game on or live music. In the winter, the fireplace is also just right. The restaurant is a wonderful place for a date, friends getting together or for a birthday! Took my family for a special dinner. As the restaurant filled, the noise level got very high. However, the food was excellent.

The Cedar Plank Salmon was superb! The thick cut was perfectly grilled, moist, and very flavorful. My daughter had the regular cut of Prime Rib and it was huge. If you like well prepared vegetables as a side dish, this is where you will not be disappointed.

Large portions are well cooked and delicious. All of the staff, except one, were very pleasant and welcoming. Unfortunately, our server was the only reason I did not give the restaurant five stars.

She acted like she did not want to be working and rushed us from the moment she took our orders. As my mother always used to say, "You'll be surprised how far a smile will get you.

Called on a Friday night at 7: I asked did they have any prime rib? Showed up at 8: Our server showed up 15 minutes after we were set. I told her that my wife and myself wanted the prime rib. Was told there was only a couple of servings left, and they were well done. Long ways from the medium rare that we like. Asked why that was after talking to them 75 minutes earlier and was told plenty to have. Told her that was not going to work for us. She did not give a shit about it.
