The Grain Valley, Missouri driver stormed the high banks of Randolph County Raceway near Moberly, Missouri Friday to win from row four with the ASCS National Series. It looked like another shot at a win Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa before losing a left rear wheel and flipping in turn one. Fortunately, Brian is o. We were lucky enough to draw a good number for the heat, but we knew drawing the pole that we had to win the heat.

That set us up for the feature. We were able to sneak in a grab the last spot in the redraw. You drew the seven and started in the fourth row of the feature.

You got off to a good start, but it seemed you had to pass Ian Madsen a few times because of the early cautions. It made for a better show though. We were able to get up to fourth and then get Wayne Johnson for third. At that point, Sam Hafertepe and Aaron Reutzel were racing pretty hard for the lead. We were able to get by Sam and then Aaron for the lead. We got to traffic, and he had a good corner and got back by me.

A yellow came out, and I thought that may be all she wrote. But we were able to get back by him, and go on to win. It was awesome to get a win that close to home, and on a big stage with the ASCS National tour. We were the quickest car hot-lapping. That was a different car than we had been running there.

We made a couple changes to make the car better, but we actually made it worse. We ended up sixth quick, but we were able to drive up to second from fifth in the heat and that made us high point guy. With the invert being four for the feature, you had to feel you had a shot at another win there. We felt that was a good position to win. We had a good start and got up to third pretty quickly.

The yellow came out, and then we were able to get Austin McCarl for second. We turned our quickest lap there and made a good run on Matt Juhl. We went into turn one and two and the left rear fell off. It was just unfortunate, you know. We had an opportunity to win both nights last weekend and we lost a good racecar, but on the other hand, it could have been a lot worse for me. I could have been banged up worse than I did. Race Director John McCoy was on the radio and called red quickly.

One of my biggest fears is getting run into there. Everyone from the other drivers, to John, to the safety crew did their job. Brian Brown Racing — www. Brian thought he would see victory for 21 laps of the World of Outlaws feature at Lakeside Speedway inbefore Steve Kinser got by and relegated him to a second place finish in the lapper. Problematic Night in Chico has Justyn Cox Eager to Hit Calistoga Speedway Saturday Night.

Taking part in the David Tarter Memorial in Chico, CA on Friday night, Justyn Cox and the Cox Racing team would experience steering issues that plagued them from start to finish. Fighting issues and trying to make repairs, Cox would be unable to make it out in time for his heat race, and would line up 16th in the feature event. Justyn Cox will be back in action on Saturday night at Calistoga Speedway in Calistoga, CA.

Not making it into the Dash, the Roseville, CA driver would line up in the sixth row for the scheduled lap feature event. Back under green, Copeland would pick up a couple of positions as he got into the fifth spot by the 20th lap. A lap 20 restart would see two cars get together in front of Copeland and with nowhere to go he would get in on the action and be forced through the infield. With no caution flag initially, Copeland would lose several positions as he fell back to ninth.

With more stoppages and restarts, Copeland would race his way up to fifth just as the checkered flag waived on the 25th lap as the race had reached the state mandated 11pm curfew. PETERSEN MEDIA- Friday night in Chico, CA, Mason Moore took the controls to his Mason Moore Racing No.

In a race honoring a fellow sprint car and outlaw kart competitor, Moore would record an eighth place finish. From the third starting spot, Moore would finish in the third position and earn a spot in the all important redraw that would set the first four rows of the feature event lineup. On a tricky Silver Dollar Speedway that was much of the field work the low line in turns one and two, and rip around the cushion in turns three and for, Moore struggled to get going forward.

Abel to maintain during the 25 lap feature event, Moore would battle for the seventh and eighth spots much of the race as he battled with Michael Ing and Andy Forsberg. Trying to get more spots, Moore was just a Top car on this night as he would take the checkered flag with an eighth place finish.

Last weekend, Pierce was in action against the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, where he raced to a solid 14th place finish in the A-main. On lap four, leader Jacob Allen got upside down, which forced red flag conditions. During the clean up, the skies opened up as torrential rain poured upon the racing surface. After nearly a two-hour delay, racing resumed on a very fast and tacky River Cities Speedway.

With passing being at a premium for the remainder of the event, Austin came home 14th to lead all NOSA regulars. I would have liked the race to stay green. This Thursday night, Pierce returns to Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn. On Friday and Saturday, the NOSA circuit returns to River Cities Speedway for a pair of events.

Norman County Raceway - NOSA Sprints June 23rd: River Cities Speedway - NOSA Sprints June 24th: River Cities Speedway - NOSA Sprints. June 20, — This Thursday night the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint Cars invade Norman County Raceway for the 12th time in series history.

Last year, Austin Pierce picked up a thrilling victory over the late Cory Mack. Mack cracked the top five in the closing laps before moving into second and setting his sights on Pierce for the lead. On the final lap, Mack threw an incredible slide job on Pierce in turns three and four to briefly take the lead. Pierce countered with a crossover move to drive back by Mack coming to the checkers to take the win by the narrowest of margins.

Despite running at the unique high-banked Ada oval just once a year, Pierce says they prepare the same way as they do every other race. The track usually widens out towards the second half of the feature, which makes it pretty racy. Pierce brings in a slim two-point lead over NCR winner, Casey Mack, atop the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint standings. Young guns, Jordan Adams, who is fresh off a win at Jamestown Speedway, Jade Hastings and Trent Stengl round out the top five in points.

We had a shot at a win the last night at Lucas Oil, starting up front.

But the motor laid down and started fading about mid-way through the race and we rode it out to 7th. But it was a good week and we were able to pull off some solid heats and qualifiers along with the feature finishes that netted us 4th in the overall speedweek points.

That heightens my excitement for the Northwest swing. Me and Tyler have been working well together the last month and he has given me some fast race cars to drive as of late. PETERSEN MEDIA- Willie Croft had a bad fast car on Saturday night in Antioch, CA. Having issues in both the heat race and the feature event, the Roseville, CA driver was still able to fight forward as he closed his night out with an eighth place finish.

A total of 29 cars checked in the Antioch Speedway on Saturday night for Round No. Lining up in the second row of his heat race, Croft would get a little out of shape and softly tip his machine over. Able to make repairs in the work area, Croft would showcase his speed as he was able to fight back to finish in the second spot and punch his ticket into the Dash. As the race came to life, Croft would run in the fourth spot as he spent the early laps of the race battling with Ryan Bernal and Steven Tiner inside the Top-Five.

A lap caution would seemingly open the caution floodgates as the rest of the race would be interrupted often, making restarts a regular thing.

Running in the fourth spot when the yellow flew on lap the following restart would be waived off as two cars got together. The next attempt on the restart would bring trouble for Croft as contact with another competitor would get his car out of shape. With him being slowed by the incident as the yellow flew, the split yellow would place him at the back of the pack.

With more fireworks taking place as the race went on, the 11pm curfew would bring the checkered flag on the 25th lap as Croft had managed to work his way back to the eighth spot in a mere handful of laps. On the high-banked bullring, TK did what he does best as he got the best of his competition and moved into the fourth and final transfer spot. Punching his ticket into the feature event, Kaeding would grid the field from the 24th starting position. With some areas of grease still on the speedway, cars would get out of shape in front of Kaeding, and it would result in the Lunstra Motorsports machine getting upside down wildly in front of the crowd.

Inside Line Promotions - WHEATLAND, Mo. June 20, - Harli White is battle tested as she embarks upon her first racing trip to the Northwest this weekend. White will invade Washington this Thursday through Saturday for the 46 th annual Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup hosted by Skagit Speedway in Alger. It marks the first of two straight weekends in Washington for the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour. I've heard a lot of good things about racing in the Northwest so I'm looking forward to experiencing that.

White is coming off an up-and-down Speedweek with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour. Following results of seventh and 16th, respectively, during the first two rounds, White kicked off last week's action on Tuesday at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas. She finished where she started - fourth - in a heat race, which earned enough points to lock into the 14th starting position for the main event.

We moved forward so that's always a plus. She returned to Speedweek competition the following night at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla. That forced her to take a provisional to start at the back of the main event. We passed a few cars, but not enough. It was one of those deals where our night didn't start off too well and we were playing catch up. We got the car rolling really well in the A Main though.

Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. White advanced from sixth to fourth place in a heat race before maneuvering from 16th to 13th in the main event, although that doesn't tell the whole story.

I had to go to the back for a restart. We were rolling pretty good after that. The car was working and we were able to pass cars to rebound to 13th. White made her debut at Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Mo.

She placed fifth in a heat race before netting a third-place result in the B Main to transfer into the back of the main event. The temperature got up to in the heat and we don't like that at all. We made some adjustments on the fuel to get the temperature down for the main event.

It was good and didn't get hot. I was moving forward and got caught up when another guy spun in front of me. I tagged the wall and turned over. Speedweek concluded on Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway, where the team again battled an overheating engine. White ended fifth in a heat race to narrowly lock into the main event in the 16th starting position. However, an early spin relegated her to the back of the field for the restart. I had to keep my momentum up.

I think if our engine wouldn't have been giving us trouble we would have been a lot better. White rallied from the back to post a 13th-place finish. The team, which ended 11th in the Speedweek standings, later discovered a rear end problem. In other news, White will have her t-shirt trailer that will include Aaron Reutzel's apparel near the grandstands at Skagit Speedway this weekend.

June 20, - Joe Trenca remains third in the Patriot Sprint Tour American championship standings following a Northeast doubleheader last weekend.

The Mucci Motorsports competitor opened the action on Friday at Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, N. That advanced him into the feature redraw, in which he pulled the No. They did a lengthy track prep before the feature. We made a few changes thinking it was going to help.

I think we went the wrong way. We just weren't that good. Me and another guy were going at it. With two laps to go a lapped car put me down in an infield tire. I had to get out of the throttle so I lost two positions to finish seventh. The weekend concluded on Saturday at Selinsgrove Speedway, where Trenca timed in 19th quickest during qualifying.

Trenca advanced from seventh to sixth place in a heat race. He started the main event on the outside of the eighth row. We were finally satisfied with the car that it was making some improvements.

He will return to action this Saturday at Stateline Speedway in Busti, N. Trenca finished a season-best third during his lone race at the track last year and he placed fifth in June 17 - Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa. June 20, - Chase Johnson scored one of the biggest wins of his career last Saturday at his home track, where he recorded his first career King of the West-NARC Fujitsu Series victory. Johnson's triumph at Petaluma Speedway was also the first for his car owners Shawn and Cyndi Thomas.

I'm happy to be a part of that. It's very deserved and made even cooler because it was a King of the West-NARC show because of how difficult those are to win.

The level of competition is stellar. To do it in front of my hometown crowd, which was electric all night, and some of our sponsors was special. The crew made quite a few changes to make us faster. Johnson then finished where he started - third - in a heat race to lock into the dash. He redrew the No. We kept getting yellows when we'd get into traffic. It'd break my momentum because I was catching Bud Kaeding fast in traffic. I knew we had a better car in traffic.

I saw an opening in traffic and I took it. He was slowing up for some cars ahead of him. I went for the slider in turns three and four and it stuck. I passed him and a lapped car. The victory was Johnson's second straight win after he garnered his first career ci winged sprint car triumph the previous weekend. Johnson has a handful of races on tap this weekend when he will compete on Friday at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, Calif. He will also race Saturday night with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour.

Inside Line Promotions - HIGHLANDS, Texas June 20, - Brandon Hanks recorded a pair of top finishes last weekend during an ASCS Gulf South Region doubleheader in Texas.

It didn't look good at all. We were throwing up dust in hot laps. It was so bad you couldn't see who was in front of you. Hanks drew the pole position for a heat race, but dropped to a third-place result thanks to the track conditions. I got beat going into turn one and then both myself and the leader hit something slick and slid up. I got passed for second so I ended up third. They put me back to sixth for the restart since we didn't complete a lap.

After the restart I was passing for fifth when I got tight on the cushion and about ate the wall. Mike Miller went by me and I ended up seventh. The weekend wrapped up on Saturday at Battleground Speedway, where Hanks maneuvered from sixth to third place in a heat race.

I started ninth and again we were really fast, but started too far behind. We made our way through there. We were catching traffic. The race was around the bottom. You could run a little off it in turns one and two. Hanks battled for a top five at the end of the race before he was credited with a sixth-place result, which was his fifth top 10 of the season. Hagar will race at Riverside International Speedway on Thursday before venturing to Penton Raceway in Penton, Ala. Hagar ran into tough luck last Saturday at Riverside International Speedway, where he powered from sixth to third place in a heat race before a tight race car hampered him in the main event.

We freed the car up a lot and I figured it'd be enough. I couldn't get on the gas to drive off the corner. The car was way too left rear tight.

We had a red flag and got run over as we were slowing down. That flattened the right rear tire. We pushed off the track and I knew there wasn't going to be a lot of passing so we went to the pits. Hagar was credited with a 14th-place result. However, he has earned multiple wins at Riverside International Speedway each of the last three years.

Friday will be his first time racing at Penton Raceway in several years while Saturday's show at East Alabama Motor Speedway is a track he's fond of. Hagar was victorious at the bullring last June. Tankersley Produces ASCS Gulf South Region Win for Seventh Straight Season. Inside Line Promotions - HIGHLANDS, Texas June 20, - Channin Tankersley captured his first feature victory of the season last Friday to highlight a busy week of five straight nights of racing.

Tankersley, who was driving for Old School Racing, claimed an ASCS Gulf South Region event on Friday at Bronco Motor Speedway in Cleveland, Texas, to give him at least one win with the series for seven straight seasons. The night began with Tankersley advancing from third to second place in a heat race. That earned enough points to lock into the feature redraw, in which he pulled the No.

On that kind of track being up front was best because it was super hard to pass. One corner was super dusty. The other had a cushion by the wall and a little bottom.

Tankersley led the distance to earn the triumph, which was the best moment during a busy week that was either feast of famine. The action started last Tuesday at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, where Tankersley was leading a heat race before a mechanical problem ended the night early during the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Speedweek event. The team regrouped and put in a different engine for Wednesday's Speedweek show at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla.

That put us on the front row of a qualifier and we won that. Tankersley advanced from eighth to fifth place in a heat race and he won a qualifier from the pole. That ranked seventh in overall points and started him on the inside of the fourth row for the main event. Then the car started to get really tight. I think the right rear tire was bleeding down. We held on to fifth. Tankersley's fifth-place result was his best with the ASCS National Tour this season.

The final Speedweek race the team tackled was Thursday at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. We got lapped and I pulled off to save our equipment. Tankersley, who advanced from third to second place in a heat race to make the feature redraw, faded from his sixth starting position before he exited the race early. He was credited with a 20th-place finish. Following Friday's win, Tankersley wrapped up the weekend on Saturday at Battleground Speedway with the ASCS Gulf South.

Tankersley charged from fifth to second place in a heat race. He pulled the highest number - eight - during the random redraw to start the main event eighth. However, an ill handling race car forced him to end the night early with a 19th-place finish. DNF 2 ; B Main: Tankersley has t-shirts ranging from youth medium to 4XL for sale at his race trailer. Tankersley would also like to thank Kyle Turner Motorsports, Challenger Drilling and Day Motorsports for their continued support.

The team ventured to Off Road Speedway on Saturday, when they advanced from third to second place in a Carpet Land Nebraska Sprints heat race. We had it too tight and I couldn't rotate the corners like we needed to. Jason Martin slid me with two laps to go. I knew he'd done it too fast. I drove under him and never looked back. The weekend wrapped up on Sunday, when Dover drove a ci winged sprint car for Chris Roseland during the Sprint Series of Nebraska show at Raceway Park.

Dover won a heat race after starting third to make the feature redraw. He then pulled the No. We ran second for the first five laps. We had leased out our spare and the other engine had some shavings in the oil the last time we ran it and needs to be gone through. I thought we were done for a while.

To be honest the car wasn't ready to go and I have started a new job and didn't have time to get it ready. James and his dad put the car back together so we could go racing. It was jammed and I couldn't get it to slide back any further, which presented a problem, but we overcame it for another top five. PETERSEN MEDIA- Picking the SCCT series up for the second and final time in Antioch, CA on Saturday night, Mason Moore would dodge some carnage in the feature event to score a 10th place finish.

Starting deep in the fray, Moore would pick up a couple of spots in the opening laps before an array of cautions and stoppages would plague the rest of the race. Using restarts to his advantage, Moore would soon find himself in the Top as an open red flag was needed on the 20th lap.

With cautions continuing to hamper the flow of the race, time would soon become an issue as officials would begin shaving laps off the feature event. It was one of those nights that you start pretty far back and are happy to avoid some of the tangles and come away with a decent finish. Speed Equipment, Sierra Single Ply, Lucas Oil, RPI, and Encore Catering for their support in PETERSEN MEDIA- Following a couple weeks away from the Menne Motorsports No.

Timing in fourth fastest in qualifying time trials amongst the cars checked into the pit area, the Roseville, CA driver would finish third in his heat race and make himself eligible for the redraw. A three-lap Dash-For-Cash with the four fastest qualifiers would see Becker finish second to Kyle Hirst. With the Dash-for-Cash having no bearing on the starting line up, Becker would draw the six pill and line up in the third row for the lap feature event.

Racing with the likes of Gio Scelzi, Kyle Hirst, and Bud Kaeding, Becker would cap his night with a podium finish in a race that has a close meaning to him in honor of David Tarter. Winning the heat, Becker would move to the feature event where he would grid the field from the 10th starting position. When the race came to life, Becker would quickly move forward as he was able to climb up into the sixth spot before the first caution of the night flew on the 10th lap.

Continuing to battle for a spot in the top-five when the race came back to life, a red nine laps later would bunch knox binary options trading field back up and a couple more stoppages by the 20th lap would see crews allowed on to the track to add fuel to their machines as Becker was now up to the fourth spot.

With the race ultimately being cut to a lap affair due to the 11pm state curfew, the final five laps would see Becker get up as high as the third spot, before falling back to fourth during the final restart.

The Menne Motorsports team will be in action on Saturday night as they travel to the scenic Calistoga Speedway. Continuing to progress on a weekly basis, Kyle Offill would earn his first career fast time award on Friday night at Ocean Speedway before finishing ninth during the feature event. Finishing third in his heat race, Offill would move into the six-lap Dash where a fifth place finish placed him in the third row for the lap feature event on what was an immaculately prepared Ocean Speedway surface.

With the nose wing playing a pivotal role in keeping air on the front end of the car, Offill would admittedly have a tough time maneuvering his machine. Doing a great job despite the difficult task at hand, Offill would stay the course and take the checkered flag with a ninth place finish. Lining up in the eight starting position, Offill would get off to a great start as he forged ahead early and took over the fifth position.

Looking for more, Offill would close in on fourth but contact with a spinning car would get his machine upside down, and his night would come to an early end. Team KO Racing would like to thank Ochoco West, Boise Cascade, Reliable Lumber, Maas Brothers Powder Tri county livestock auction osborn mo, TMAC Motorsports, Offill Family Farms, Golden State Lumber, Inc. Kyle Offill and Team KO Racing will now set their sights on the famed Calistoga Speedway on Saturday night for the seventh SCCT event of the season.

PETERSEN MEDIA- Though he got off to a slow start on Saturday night in Antioch, CA, Tony Gualda ended on a high note as he was able to advance from the 21st starting position and finish seventh with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour. Taking to the Antioch Speedway in Antioch, CA for the sixth SCCT event of the season, Gualda would get off to a rough start in time trials as he would time in 27th fastest of the 29 cars checked into the pit area.

Forced into the semi, the Hollister, CA product would grid the field from the 10th starting position, and would need to finish in the Top-Six to keep his night rolling. From the back of the pack, Gualda would carry over the momentum from the semi as he began working his way forward from the drop of the green flag. Working his way towards the Top a caution on the 10th lap would begin a trend of stoppages on this night. Using double file restarts to his advantage, Gualda would soon find himself up in the Top as the race reached the regularly scheduled halfway point.

Climbing into the seventh spot by the 20th circuit, Gualda would make a daring move to take over the fifth spot only to see the red flag waive and negate his pass. Losing his spots, Gualda would go back to seventh, and as the race resumed the checkered would be displayed to the field just two laps later on the 25th lap as the 11pm curfew had been reached.

Keep up with Tony Gualda on Twitter by following along TonyGualda PETERSEN MEDIA- For the second week in a row Cody Lamar found himself battling up front. A week after leading laps at Placerville Speedway, Lamar was battling in the top-three with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour at Antioch Speedway until issues on the 23rd lap resulted in him getting upside down. Lining up on the front row of his heat race, the Sacramento, CA pilot would take care of business and pick up the win and make himself eligible for the nightly Dash.

As the race got underway, Lamar would battle inside the top five as he chased after the likes of Steven Tiner, Willie Croft, and Ryan Bernal who all raced hard right in front of him. On this night, stoppages would hamper much of the race, and restarts would play a big part in how things shook out. Working his way up to the third spot, Lamar would chase after the lead duo of Jonathan Allard and Kyle Hirst.

Racing hard for position as the race drew to a close, issues in turns three and four would result in Lamar tripping over the cushion and getting his machine upside down which brought his night to an end. Cody and his team would like to thank A1 Septic, Joe Hunt Magnetos, and NAAKE Suspension for their continued support. Lamar is set to be in action on Saturday night as he returns to action with the SCCT at the famed Calistoga Speedway. Two wins and two second place finishes highlighted the week.

The Sunnyvale, Texas native hopes to repeat as the Skagit Dirt Nationals champion this weekend. Speedweek started at West Texas Raceway in Lubbock, Friday, June 9.

We were trying to go for a little more than we should have, and ended up on our lid that night. Sam and the team were ready for Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas June We started 11th in the feature, and had a tire cut down about halfway through. That pretty much ended our night.

We won our heat and drew a starting spot outside row one for the feature. We took off from the outset and won. That was a great way to get things headed the right direction again.

The momentum continued for Sam on Wednesday at Lawton. We started front row outside again. We were able to take the lead on lap two and went on to win by over five seconds there. The back to back wins were great. Next up was Creek County Speedway near Sapulpa, Oklahoma Thursday.

The track was pretty one-lane around the bottom. We got up to fifth and we were global stock market crashes for fourth. We ended up getting chopped off and that spun us. Sam made his first start at Randolph County Raceway near Moberly, Missouri Friday. We led early in the feature. Aaron Reutzel passed us about lap four, but we got going again, and got back by him. We led a couple laps and he got back by us.

Brown came on strong at that point. We really had nothing for him, and we ended up finishing second to him there. The Speedweek finale came Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway near Wheatland, Missouri.

We just kind of rode around there for a while. We finally got to second about lap thirteen or fourteen. We reeled in Reutzel with a couple laps to go. We ended up second, but I believe we had the fastest car. Track position was really key. Overall, the tiring week was a success. There is no rest for the weary as the series heads to the Pacific Northwest this weekend. Jacob Allen gears up for inaugural World of Outlaws event at West Liberty Raceway.

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa — June 20, — During his first couple of years on the road with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, just about every track was a new one for Jacob Allen. Now in year-four with the Outlaws, the number of new tracks he visits each season can usually be counted on one hand. He will encounter a new venue on the schedule this week as the series heads to West Liberty Raceway in Iowa for the first time. The inaugural West Liberty Hawkeye 25 for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at West Liberty Raceway is set for Friday June Along with a full night of racing for the Outlaws, Modifieds will also be on the card.

Current Outlaws rookie contender Brent Marks finished fourth in that race. Those guys are the ones usually contending for Outlaws wins when we race back home, so to come off of the Outlaws season and win there going into the off-season really was a confidence booster.

That got me very excited for this season and trying to get that first Outlaws win. Last weekend, Allen won the Craftsman Club Dash to earn the pole at River Cities Speedway in North Dakota and led the first four laps of the main event. That marked the first time he led laps in a feature event in his young career with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series. While getting that first Outlaws win in a big goal of his, continuing to add to his knowledge-base, by observing the veteran drivers and teams and how they operate, is a key element for Allen.

You watch what the good guys do and try to learn what it takes to be one of the best. I pay attention to that and try to go out each night and get closer to that goal. He definitely had ears on his car, because wherever my motor made noise, his car got wide in that direction. We were up to eighth at that point, and the rain came down. We had a downpour from twenty to thirty minutes, and it was a few hours before we ran again. Chasing down the pole sitter Chase Majdic, Hirst set his sights on the lead just as Majdic got caught up with Brian Boswell on lap five. On the restart, Hirst pulled away and quickly caught the tail end of the field. Hooking a rut in turn 3, Hirst lost control and the lead to teammate Giovanni Scelzi. Hirst and Scelzi continued to race nose to tail thru traffic.

Hirst went on to win his third career David Tarter Memorial with teammate Gio Scelzi right behind him in 2nd, giving Roth Motorsports a finish. Big Game Motorsports and Madsen Cap Week With Runner-Up Result at River Cities. Inside Line Promotions - FARGO, N. June 19, - Big Game Motorsports driver Kerry Madsen recorded a runner-up result last Friday at River Cities Speedway to highlight a two-race week with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series. The Muddy sponsored team opened the night by timing in second quickest around the quarter-mile oval.

Madsen then won a heat race to lock into the dash, in which he advanced from fifth to third place to start the main event on the inside of the second row. Madsen restarted second and he battled for the win during the remainder of the race. You had to make sure you were right there.

If someone made a mistake they were going to cover the hole quick. We got the lead once, but a lapped car was pulling off the track and I had to lift so I gave the lead back. Madsen took over the top spot on Lap 20, but Gravel regained the lead the following lap.

Madsen's second-place finish was his 13th top five in 25 races this season. The week began on Tuesday at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb. It's not everything, but it definitely makes the night a lot more manageable. Madsen won a heat race from the pole to lock into the dash.

Unfortunately, the dash inversion was an eight and that lined him up on the outside of the fourth row. Madsen picked up a position in the dash to finish seventh and he gained another spot in the main event to cap the night sixth. We didn't progress up the order to challenge for the win. The bottom of the track was so good about three quarters of the race before the top came in.

I wish I made the switch at the right time and I think we could have gained a couple more positions. Saturday's show at Red River Valley Speedway in Fargo, N. The Muddy backed team is scheduled to compete this Tuesday at Granite City Speedway in Sauk Rapids, Minn. However, the team may race on Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, if weather is a concern in Wisconsin.

Lining up shotgun on the field in his heat race, the Cottonwood, CA driver would finish in the fifth spot aboard the SALCO Inc.

Lining up in the eighth row for the feature event, Ashe would go to work on a track that saw guys work the cushion at one end and use the bottom at the other. Able to move around a little during the course of the night, Ashe would work his way forward as he picked up a couple of positions.

June 19, - Sammy Swindell was well on his way to not only winning the Hooker Hood Classic, but sweeping the marquee event last Saturday at Riverside International Speedway before bad luck struck.

Swindell, who was driving for A. Rains, won both the dash and a heat race and he was leading the main event just after the midpoint of the race when a tire problem occurred. It just popped off somehow. I don't really know why. It bounced a bit and I was on the right front and it came off. Swindell had put himself in a great position up to that point beginning with a dash win. He then charged from fifth to capture a heat race triumph.

We sat down and looked at everything. We had a good setup right off the trailer. We didn't do a whole lot to it all night. Swindell ranked second in overall points, which lined him up on the outside of the front row for the lap main event. I made a couple of good corners. I got a run under him and passed him. Someone said we had a half a lap on the field before we had a caution. About halfway through is when we lost the right front tire and had to go to the back.

The track was getting harder and harder to pass. I got through a few of them, but got tied up with a couple of cars. It was so wet on the bottom you couldn't run down there. Guys were running the middle and taking up so much room getting in the corner. I was running the top and got stuck behind a couple drivers too long. Swindell led more than half of the race before the tire incident. He rallied from the back to place fifth during the closing laps. For more information, visit https: I can call him up and say I need something and he gets it done.

Inside Line Promotions - PORT ROYAL, Pa. June 19, - Trey Starks scored his fifth podium finish of the season last Saturday when Gobrecht Motorsports invaded Port Royal Speedway. We were pretty good. We passed a lot of cars and gained a lot of points. That was nice to get in the redraw. Starks maneuvered from 10th to fifth place at the half-mile oval.

We were fighting for second the first 10 or so laps. Once everyone got in traffic it got strung out. We got through some lappers with about five laps to go and started running the leaders down, but we needed five or so more laps to be in the hunt for it.

It was really nice to get another good run at a Central Pennsylvania track. I'm really enjoying racing at Port Royal more and more. It's nice to have a fast car there. Starks recorded a third-place result to give him three top fives during three races at the track this season. The weekend began the previous night when Starks made his debut at Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa. Starks qualified eighth quickest before he won a heat race after starting on the outside of the front row.

That locked him into the seventh starting position for the main event. June 16 - Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa. June 17 - Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa. Hutchinson Grand National Auto Races. Below is the official championship Saturday payout for the NCRA Sprint Car Series:. Inside Line Promotions - BILLINGS, Mont. June 19, - Travis Rilat earned his second straight win driving for Richard Saumure in the state of Montana last Saturday when the duo captured the inaugural Northwest Challenge Series event at BMP Speedway.

Rilat opened the night by advancing from third to second place in a heat race. That locked him into the feature redraw, in which he pulled the No. A pair of cautions bunched the field together, but Rilat kept his challengers at bay en route to the victory. Rilat, who faced mechanical problems in his own sprint car last Tuesday during a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Speedweek event at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, will pilot Saumure's race car again this weekend during the famed 46th annual Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup.

Rilat and Saumure have enjoyed a lot of success at the high-banked oval the past few seasons. They have earned eight podium finishes and 18 top 10s during 25 races at the track since the start of the season.

Additionally, Rilat claimed a Dirt Cup preliminary triumph in and when the event hosted ci winged sprint cars. Heat race action would see the Nashville, TN resident finish fourth after a spirited battle with Mark Dobmeier, and place him in the 14th starting position for the lap feature event.

As the race came to life, the red flag would waive on the fifth lap as a car flipped wildly in turn four. Under the stoppage, the sky would open up and rain would fall sending drivers and their cars back to their pit area. Waiting out the weather, action would resume nearly three hours after the rain fell.

After a couple of hot lap sessions, the track would still have some greasy spots and that would be evident as the race came back to life. When the field was shown the green flag, a couple of cars would get out of shape in front of McMahan and with nowhere to go he would get collected in the huge pile up and his machine would get upside down and his night would come to an end.

The team would also be in action earlier in the week as the World of Outlaw Craftsman Sprint Car Series made their return to Eagle Raceway on Tuesday night.

Getting the Destiny Motorsports machine timed in ninth fastest in time trials, McMahan would take care of business during his heat race as a third place finish placed him in the fifth row of the lap feature event. When the Eagle Nationals feature came to life, McMahan would get into a little early trouble as he would get out of shape on the opening lap and bring out a caution flag. Surrendering a good starting spot, McMahan would show some nice speed from the back of the pack.

Navigating his way through some tricky traffic, McMahan would work his way forward and pocket a 15th place finish at the stripe. These guys keep working hard and we keep doing what we can night in and night out. Destiny Motorsports would like to thank MonDak Portables, Ft. Following the King of the West Series to Petaluma Speedway on Saturday night, Sean Watts would put together a nice night that saw him pick up a heat race win and score a ninth place finish in the feature event. Lining up on the front row of his heat race alongside Andy Forsberg, Watts would get the jump as he would be on the preferred low groove as things came to life.

Fending off Forsberg, Watts would pick up the important win and stamp his ticket into the nine-car Dash that would set the first five rows of the feature event. With the zero pill being pulled for the Dash inversion, Watts would start ninth in the sixth-lap affair, and finish ninth putting him in the ninth starting spot for the lap finale. Watts would get off to a bit of a slow start on the unusually slicked off racing surface.

Falling back as far as the 13th spot in the opening six laps, Watts would regroup as the race got into an extended lap green flag run. Working his way back forward in some tricky traffic, Watts would pick up lost position in the closing laps as he got back up to the ninth spot. Watts will be back in action with the King of the West Series on Friday night in Watsonville, CA and on Saturday night in Calistoga, CA. A bit of a tough weekend for DJ Netto and his Tri-C Motorsports team saw the Hanford, CA still pick up a pair of Top finishes during action at Chico, CA on Friday night and Petaluma, CA on Saturday night.

I really have to thank Lee for fighting through a lot of pain on Saturday night to work with the guys. Running third in his heat race, Netto would move into the feature event where he would take the green flag from the fifth starting spot. Getting off to a nice start in the feature event, Netto would show a ton of speed aboard the Tri-C Motorsports entry. Fighting a part failure in his rear suspension in the early part of the race, Netto would have to wrestle the No.

When the race ended, he would slip out of the Top-Five as he finished in the sixth spot. Traveling to Petaluma, CA on Saturday night for another night of racing action with the King of the West Series, Netto would time in ninth fastest and line up on the front row of his heat race.

Out dueling Jamie Veal in the heat, Netto would take home the win and earn a spot in the all important Dash where a seventh place finish would place him in the fourth row for the lap feature event.

Prior to the feature event, track work was done on the speedway to bring some moisture back to the surface and it made for an exciting battle for most of the lap event. Despite cautions plaguing the opening laps, Netto would run well inside the Top as he battled in traffic trying to make headway.

When the race got into an uninterrupted run, Netto would actually lose a couple of positions as he weaved in and out of slower traffic.

Able to make up ground in the latter stages of the race, Netto would work his way back to finish in the seventh spot. DJ Netto and the Tri-C Motorsports team will be in action on Friday night with the KWS at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, CA before taking on both the SCCT and the KWS on Saturday night in Calistoga, CA.

Jamie Turner was sixth in his Charlie Bee Honey No. The night started out with a tough challenge for all three drivers as each was forced to start at the rear of their heat. Cory, Jamie and Ryan finishes seventh, eighth and ninth, respectively.

The team worked hard to improve all three cars in between the heats and the lap Feature event. Each car underwent several changes to prepare for a slick track that was significantly different from the heats. All three drivers were able to move forward in the field. At the halfway mark, Cory briefly held the fourth spot during a hard battle with Mikey Kruchka that saw the two drivers exchange slide jobs.

Jamie had his best run of the season to race to sixth and past Ryan while trying to track down Cory for a top-five finish.

The strong run was further evidence Jamie has his car pointed in the right direction. We can definitely change it a little bit and tighten the car up a little bit more. For Jamie, the strong run helped to prove the hard work he and his team have put in over the last several weeks is worthwhile with the program trending upwards. Next week the team has a doubleheader planned with stops at Ohsweken on Friday, June 23 and at Merrittville on Saturday, June 24 against the Empire Super Sprints.
