Comments Comment by Lmjkdd6 Tailoring allows players to cut and weave various pieces of cloth into armor, bags, shirts, and other cloth items.

Tailors play an especially important role in guilds because they can create bags for the entire guild, provided the guild members gather the proper ingredients. Tailors are responsible for creating cloth items for cloth-armor wearing classes: Mages, Warlocks, and Priests.

They occasionally make items for other classes, such as cloaks or spellthread for pants.

They also make decorative shirts. Tailors are also able to make special cloth equipment which requires that the user have a high level tailoring skill in order to use the item as well as a special Tailoring Mount.

While they can create a variety of items, they strangely cannot repair these items when damaged, and must still use the services of a repair vendor. Comment by gahrek Question, I didn't know where else to put this, when you learn your 2 professions, can you "unlearn" one and change it? Comment by DeadEyeDill Go to your character page "c" and go to talents and press on your current profession and you will see a X and press it then problem solved. Make sure your not going to use the one your planning to quit again Example: Comment by EvilPliskin25 Hello i have one?

I am a lvl 46 rogue human. Where do i go to get the others to tailor or do i have to be a bigger lvl to have the rest. I baan looking everywhere for the others but cant find them please help. Comment by rannmann At level 55 you can train further, and there is a trainer located in Honor Hold for alliance or Thrallmar for Horde.

Comment by EvilPliskin25 Ty so much i was wondering lol. Comment by darkisla but super woolen bolt is hard to find where can I get it. Comment by Lollipopguy can any1 help me out i cant think on what profession to pick but i want to go for tailoring and what is a good secong like leatherworking or something? Comment by oliver Well even with the new Cata enchants provided by Tailoring looks like Tailoring still won't have any use for tanking, kinda sucks considering every profession has some sort of upside for tanking.

Comment by Jesterz As of patch 4. Currently there is only Dreamcloth gear for epics PvEand the rest is mainly PvP gear item level and lower. I wonder if they will bring out new recipes or if they will keep only the rare 7 day cooldown cloth epics. This perk appears to work on even on mobs that it isn't your "turn" to loot in group loot i.

On average you will find about extra cloth of the current level. I have several recipes that have a 2 or 3 and an 'up' arrow beside them. This is not only in tailoring, but my enchant, too. Comment by TigerEyeVA Why don't embroideries show up under the "Required By" tab on Wowhead?

Comment by dartigen I know that back in BC days Spellfire was for Mages, Shadoweave was for Warlocks, and Mooncloth was for Priests in general. I know the specialisations were removed, it's just that I don't want to waste mats on making stuff that's no good for me while I'm levelling.

Comment by rosco This is a prof that can be used for a variety of people. I have found that mass production of shirts, and putting them o the AH makes some Gold. You would be supprised of how many people try to style up their character and realize that your tabard and breastplate cover it up. Like most crafting profs, you get better armor from questing.

The mount is the real reward. I suggest this for anyone who has plenty of cloth in their bank and wants to make a quick buck. Check other proffesions for suggestions on who should have which.

Comment by Tirixian Talismanic Textiles store in Dalaran, base trainer with Trade item vendor, also Mooncloth, Shadoweave and Fireweave trainers in there aswell. For each of the Specialisations, the Base Cloth recipe costs 3g, 20 and Recipes are 4g, Comment by Arenn21 I'm a Restoration paladin. My primary is enchanting. Would tailoring help me out by making gear with the stats I need? Any opinions would be appreciated. Comment by Gresskar i wouldn't recomend using cloth as a paladin. Should I drop any of my professions for tailoring buff?

Comment by danicadb1 I was wondering why tailors can't make lvl 85 shoulders that are at leastI thought that maybe quartermasters would have some nice shoulder pieces, but there don't seem to be any anywhere, I don't do dungeons, as I don't care about tier stuff, can anyone tell me what are the best shoulders for cloth wearers?

That you can get outside of a dungeon. Comment by Calyrn Hey, anyone know when we get shiny new recipes? Comment by Hanz0 Passing the frostweave cloth requirement for getting a skill point gap is proving to be quite exhausting At this point I get 1 skill point per 8 Bolt of frostweaves meaning 1 skill point per 2 stacks of frostweave cloth.

Comment by WoWHackingTools Valor Cap Increaser The Valor Cap Increaser edits the amount of valor points you can acquire by exploiting a simple Blizzard bug. Comment by Frahaleah Does it make sense for a warrior to take this? Since I have heard of death knights taking tailoring. Comment by George14 This is what the Swedish guy said, thanks to Google Translate. I used this strategy: This is exactly what I used and it works!. Comment by AskBlammy As an aside, Tailoring can be especially lucrative on RP realms like Wyrmrest Accord and Moon Guard, where people will buy lower level and vanity cloth items specifically to construct roleplay outfits for their characters, regardless of their class.

Comment by skuggi10 what gathering profession do you take with tailoring? Comment by Pelikanen I must say, as a swed, that the swedish translation earlier, it was probably done with Google Translator, cus it sucked.

Comment by mguidice This profession is primarily for priest, warlocks and mages. A very good combo with enchanting because enchanting mats come form green items which can be crafted by most professions. The main advantage is you farm for cloth by finding a mob and its respawn rate and just farm. While blacksmithing and jewelcrafting require more movement. Gathering proffesions may be advisable for fast gold, but in the long haul once you find the recipes you can profit k gold a day.

Hopes this helps any one having trouble with deciding if this is a viable proffesion. Daily currency predictions by Xcalib00r Gold Capped at WowInsider recently posted a great guide for skilling up Tailoring relatively pain-free.

Comment by wowheadbattler Ok all you Tailoring enthusiasts out there, I would like to know why all of us fine makers of bags; for i. Herbalists, Enchanters, Jewelcrafters currency option pricing binomial tree example excel with their big beautiful 36 slot bags, and us stuck with our wonderful 22 slot Embersilk Bag, that is in such high demand because it holds anything you want in it, oops sorry started to RANT sorry, lol so that leaves us holding the bag, so to speak.

I would like to add another thing about bags; Dear WoW we start with a 16 slot backpack, very nice thank you for the no fee bag; But I feel, I need to add my two cents, at level 50 my bag is looking pretty tattered, and I want a new one, I am willing to pay 50 gold to up-grade my pack for, 4 extra slots.

And at lvl 80, gold for a 22 slot pack, and yes it's non-negotiable to wait till lvl 80 to save 50 gold for your replacement bag. Comment by Jollygood For new players, especially clothies, I strongly recommend dropping a gathering profession probably skinning at level 15 when you can start running instances and taking up tailoring. No matter where you go, humanoid mobs have a good drop rate on cloth. Someone mentioned dovetailing it with enchanting.

If you are a PvPer or don't run instances, then this is not all that germane, but there you have it. I pug a lot and tailoring is great for puggers. At BC level, that's when you can start consistently making gold. Buying make money trading tennis betfair bags is the WoW equivalent of going down the street to pick up a loaf of bread and quart of milk.

Pretty much everyone leveling up goes through netherweave bags. LK and Cata level bags sell well. Specialist bags are very useful, too. Tailored items are sellable and top-level stuff goes well on the AH.

Tailoring is extremely useful for PvP players, because there's always a list of decent level tailored gear to choose from. Plus there are nets that you can make. My big income producers are spellthreads and bags. A side note is that there is a pattern that looks like blue overalls that is 'moggable. I had an acquaintance who lamented that his cartoon "wears a dress" sheesh.

Comment by Misy Please, new zealand stock exchange trading hours please, add a 50 slot bag in MoP! With all these transmo sets all of my illusionary bags are filled and a good amount of guild bank slots too! Comment by sharya15 1 - 45 x - Linen Cloth Stop making these if you reach Tailoring 45, and make more only if you need it.

One bag gives 5 skill points, so you have to make only two. Comment by anodynex 36 slot tailoring cabinet made by engineering make it so.

Comment by Zendor18 "Tailors can combine 30 Volatiles with 8 Bolt of Embersilk Cloth to form Dreamcloth. Tailors can substitute 4 Chaos Orb for the Volatiles", how does this work? I can't do Dreamcloth with 8 Bolt of Embersilk Cloth AND 4 Chaos Orb! Comment by lms too bad there is only one new MOP bag Comment by lms easiest MOP profession to level Comment by Valdesca really there is no trainers on Pandaria?

Comment by tonydizzle For those leveling through the Frostweave Cloth portion, trying to find a good place to farm, Marmotteuh from the Frostweave Cloth mini 14 wood stock vs synthetic has brought me to this Mjordin Combatant are numero uno for Frostweave Cloth.

I've done a few of the quests can do the dailies and it's not phased for me at all. Wow how to make money with tailoring an Affliction Warlock Tailor with Cloth Scavenging I just hit the mobs with Corruption and run back to the center if I have to move at all. Shadow Priest with Stock brokerage firms philippines Word: The key is to just hit them with a no-cooldown dot or other ability that doesn't kill them instantly and that you can chain-cast to get them to run to you at the middle.

At level 90 with ilvl I'm doing just enough damage so they die basically as they get to me unless they leap political cartoon on stock market crash in 1929 me.

Only times it's annoying is when VERY rarely they will knock me in the air just as I hit Corruptionso I have to recast. Just dot up the next ones that repop, rinse and repeat. I usually chain for about 30 seconds or so before stopping to loot so I make sure not to lose any. The insults they sling make it a little more interesting, as does the constant respawn, than anywhere else.

Not to mention the cloth gathered in an hour mentioned by Marmotteuh is right on track, even stopping in between to go vendor at the Shadow Vault. I'm guessing with completely empty bags and dropping a Jeeves or Scrapbot Construction Kit as an Engineer, you could get upwards of even per hour. Use the Vrykul Bones for turn-ins to get Fate Rune of Fleet Feet for those times when you have to move a bit to tag one.

Another nice thing is you don't have to feel bad for taking quest mobs from players that come through.

Fantastic spot, absolutely perfect. I've done other places too such as the Converted Hero area, and it's just not as good.

TL;DR - If you're looking for the Frostweave Cloth to level Tailoring you'll spend maybe hours here still not short, but the best I have seen. Need the 76 for First Aid? Numbers based on wow-professions.

Comment binary option directional analysis software Dave So are they going to make bigger bag patterns for the new patch? Or are we stuck with just the Embersilk bags? Comment by Sentiray Enchanting is a really good combo with Tailoring if you're looking for a second profession. Mostly because you can disenchant the items that you make with tailoring. Comment by altayrr Approximate Materials Required for Comment by Therax Discoverable patterns have been, added in 5.

Comment by kongfumonk Is there a proffesion that goes with this? Comment by Sam97 I think that creators should add more BoE mounts for tailoring profession. RESPBREAK DELIM Sas DELIM. Comment by bobsta Why is it, at higher levels, there are far more pvp patterns?

This might be ok on pvp servers but the majority are pve so I think that there should be at least as many pve patterns as pvp. This applies not only to tailoring but also leather, mail and plate armour and yes I am English so it is spelt Armour.

That's my gripe done, not that Blizz will do anything about it! Comment by spoonman A macro for those who would like for automating recipes bolts.

Simply replace "Windwool" for your tier of cloth. Comment by Thaleras Actually one of the best profession to make gold especially if you're on a RP realm. Shirts, bags, nice-looking items are easy to sell for a good price at the AH. Think also about all the BoP items you can craft for your character if you yourself are a roleplayer: Comment by barbasol It would be nice on the master recipe list if wowhead listed the amount of skillup each gives when you make it, without having to view each item individually.

Or is that somewhere I'm not seeing? Comment by Draewind In WoW professions we now buid items that can rival the raid drop items and are far better than the dungeon drop items.

They start small and can be made bigger and bigger. The random enchant includes 2 of the secondary stats giving us a measurable chance or RNG.

Items for the Back cloakneck, neck, finger ringweapon, and shield, have a greater number of possibilities than other armor items, because they can contain the secondary statistics of Bonus Armor and Spirit fortunately they do not include the combination of both those statistics.

I wish I could add a picture here. Cloaks, Necks, Rings, Shields, Weapons: These items have an additional 2 statisctics added to the normal 4. The added statistics, as mentioned earlier, are Bonus Armor and Spirit Tank and Healer statistics, respectively. Fortunately there is no combination of both Bonus Armor and Spirit ever here of teats on a boar hog? Only weapon types intended for a healing class will have the possibility of Spirit, and only weapon types intended for a tanking class will have Bonus Armor.

Weapons intended for both, will have the same chances as all the jewelry, cloaks, and shields. So if it can be enchanted by enchanting or is a shield, it fits in this class of item. I am not certain whether Bonus Armor and Spirit have the same chance of being included. They also vary with the level of the individual wearing or looking at them. There you have it. All the possible names and combinations. All items of the same level contain the same amount of statistic, such as "54 Critical Strike" and I have not seen a crafted item with a double a statistic only one statistic but twice the value.

None of content, just spelling and highlighting. Comment by lankybrit Note that they just hotfixed the leveling up crafted Draenor gear to require Sumptuous Fur instead of Hexweave Cloth. They now require 50 Sumptuous Fur. Comment by lemmingattack Where'd it go? Comment by helsvig How do you upgrade the gear level now with new patch. Comment by oruchimaru Skinning is the gathering skill for tailoring, so if like me, you pick enchanting as your second proffession you won't be able to make some of the recipes.

But as a blood elf mage this is probably the best combo. You just have to get things like light leather and etc from your guild or friends. Comment by Nabonidus Just dinged after not playing for yrs.

Comment by lasholof I am mage, and i havent learn tailoring yet, when i talk to the guy ho learn you it you hit train to learn it but nothing happends for me when i hit train.

Do any body know whats the problem. Comment by Cowoth Unfortunately in Legion, the size of the bags tailors can craft did not increase but actually deceased to 24 slots with the Silkweave Satchel! So the largest bag that can be crafted by Tailors is still the Hexweave Bag from the Warlords of Draenor expansion. Unless you want to pay ,g for the unique 34 slot Madman's Luggage! Comment by tootallleo can someone tell me if the abilities on silkweave cloaks change depending on the wearer?
